Italy international defender Gabriel Paletta became AC Milan’s sixth signing from the winter transfer window when he joined from Serie A strugglers Parma.
The 28-year-old, Argentinian-born, central defender — who has been an affiliate on the Argentinian side that won the Cheap Fifa Coins Cup in 2005 — signed a 3-year contract with Milan bringing a great end a spell of just about five-years at Parma.
Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi will be hoping that Paletta — who was an associate on the Italy squad now year’s FIFA World Cup?, playing within the 2-1 group stage convert England — will along with the five other signings spark a revival within the club’s form when they presently sit eighth in the table, 21 points adrift of leaders Juventus.
Inzaghi’s other signings have witnessed two other defenders arrive in the form of Salvatore Bocchetti, from Russian side Spartak Moscow, and Luca Antonelli, from Genoa.
